THE CANARIES IN THE COAL MINE
The Canries is the shared identity of two independent songwriters: Chase Gassaway & Jordan Whitmore. Their first project together, Scarf Weather, is a collection of Christmas songs with both originals and holiday favorites.
When Chase was asked to play a private Christmas party in 2010, he called upon the help of Jordan to arrange some holiday tunes to build the set. Arranging many of the songs with a shared vocal lead, they discovered their vocal and stylistic compatibility. With Jordan’s pure delivery and Chase’s weathered tone, the two are able to bring out complexities that their individual songwriting can’t realize. Thus, CANARIES IN THE COAL MINE is a place where anything is possible, and nothing is out of the ordinary.
Becky Middleton, (Dallas, Tx) is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter from Texas as well as the female singer for Dallas buzz band, Ishi. "Captivated" is how one might describe an audience when she begins to sing. Part melancholic, part power-house, her irresistibly beautiful voice quiets the crowds; all eyes are on her. Her poignant lyrics seem to have come straight out of her own personal diary. With an honest and emotional delivery of songs about love, loss, pain, life, and faith, it's clear this singer-songwriter knows her stuff. Becky's artistry mixes soul, folk, and roots music in a moving, eclectic fashion. "A sultry, soulful vocal performance from one of Dallas' hardest-working singer-songwriters." Hunter Hauk, The Dallas Morning News
Wolf Dog is a 4 piece all acoustic country/bluegrass band. Members include Matt Stevens on lead guitar, Alex Bender on fiddle and lead vocals, George Mack on guitar and lead vocals and Geena Spigarelli on bass. Playing mostly country classics with some original music Wolf Dog also dabbles in converting hard rock, punk and metal classics into country motif.
THE SOUL SOCIETY
With a generous mix of soul & jazz classics with a healthy dose of contemporary R&B/Hip-Hop aesthetic, THE SOUL SOCIETY has found a comfortable niche to please just about anyone he steps in their region.
