Salsa band Cienfuegos expands to an eleven piece salsa orchestra La Moña Loca every Wednesday night for your dancing pleasure!
La Mona Loca peforms original arrangements and material from groups such as Ray Barretto, Maraca, The Spanish Harlem Orchestra, The Fania All-Stars, Calle Real, El Gran Combo and more.
$7 Cover. 9PM-12AM.
Founder of Austin Casino Salsa and principal instructor, Esther M Weekes, Ed.E., a native of England, began learning Casino in 2005 and was hooked from the start! She continues to expand her knowledge by attending workshops in Casino, Rueda de Casino and Rumba around the US, Mexico, and most recently Havana, Cuba. Her regular teaching schedule includes group classes at Ruta Maya International Headquarters, Balance Dance Studios, Austin TX and group and private classes at her home studio in South Austin and private events.
